Cancer Checklists for Tumor Reporting (Tumor Synopsis)

The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer [CoC] mandates that pathology reports at Coc-approved programs included all scientifically validated or regularly used data elements for each site and specimen. In response, the CAP has produced cancer protocols with checklists, to be used as a resource by pathologists. In order to be inclusive, these CAP checklists are often very long, and require extensive, cumbersome editing, making room for clerical errors.

We modify the CAP protocol checklists by converting them from a static text format into dynamic ASP.Net files.  The checklists now are presented as drop-down list accessible on the WorldWideWeb.  While preserving the contents of the CAP checklist, the modified templates greatly simplify the reporting process and minimize error-prone factors associated with extensive text editing.  This on-line reporting system only provides transient (temporary) report at the client site. Closing the browser will permanently erase the final report.  No data is retained or collected. Two different versions are available on the Web.  Please click either hyperlinks (in blue) below to access the Checklists.
