The department
is responsible for the clinical and anatomic pathology services at
The Memorial Hermann and LBJ
Hospitals as well as the UT Outreach Laboratory that provides outreach services throughout south Texas. Pathology services annually include approximately 25,000
surgical and 70,000 cytology specimens, 200 autopsies and 5 million
clinical tests.
