Requesting Help for Computer-Related Problems
When a problem arises, the IS group recommends that
you:
First, check with the documentation that comes with the software
such as the on-line information in the "help" menu.
Second, if you are unable to determine the solution to the
problem or question, goto the MSIT
Help Desk System. and submit your question/problem. This will
send an email to the information systems group, and somebody will
get back to you.
Third, if your computer is not functioning
properly, call the member of the IS group that is best suited to
solving the problem based on the list below. We recommend that you communicate
via the Online Tracking System to get the fastest response. Using this system creates a permanent record of your problem, including a description and the time the problem was logged.
This system will help the IS group make certain that your problem is resolved promptly and to your satisfaction.
This system will also let you track the status of your problem. Requests are generally handled on a first come first serve basis.
However, higher priority problems will be taken care of first.
