Make sure you have the following before proceeding:
1. Backup of important files.
2. Windows 95/98 CD or installation disks.
Please perform the following steps in their prescribed order:
1. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel.
2. Double-click on the Network icon. Your screen should look similar to this:

3. Make sure you have Client for Microsoft Networks installed as displayed.
If not, then do not proceed until talking to a member of the IS Team.
4. Make sure the "Primary Network Logon" is set for Client for
Microsoft Networks.
5. Double-click on "TCP/IP ® Your Network Card" or click on it
once and then click on the Properties button. Caution: DO NOT CLICK on the
one that says Dial-up Adaptor (if one is present).
6. Your screen should look similar to this:

7. Click on the tab "WINS Configuration".
8. The following screen should be displayed:

9. Click on "Enable WINS Resolution"
10. Under the box "WINS Server Search Order", type in 129.106.232.2
and then click Add.
11. Your WINS Configuration tab should look identical to this figure.
12. Next, click on the Gateway Tab.
13. Should look like this:

14. Under new gateway, type 129.106.232.247 and then click on Add.
15. Your screen should look identical to this figure.
16. Next, click on the DNS tab.
17. Click on Enable DNS.
18. Under Host, type the name of your computer or type in you last name.
19. Under Domain, type in med.uth.tmc.edu.
20. Under DNS Server Search Order, type in the following in this order:
a. 129.106.200.2 and then click Add.
b. 129.106.30.4 and then click Add.
21. Your screen should look identical to the following except for the Host name.

22. Click on OK. You do not need to click on the Bindings, Advanced , or NetBIOS
tab.
23. You should now see the Network properties (Figure 1).
24. Click on OK.
25. Depending on your system, it may install some files from the Windows directory.
It will ask you to supply the CD if your system did not come with Windows 95/98
pre-installed or if you re-installed Windows 95/98.
26. Your system will ask you to restart. Click on Yes and allow your system
to reboot.
27. When Windows restarts, you should see the following screen:

28. Type in your network id and password and click on OK. (The same as you
do from your office PC).
29. Make sure the Domain is "PATHOLOGY".
30. Your login script should run to automatically map your G: P: and R: drives.
