You must have already applied for and received the logon for an OAC dialup account.
You must have already installed the modem in your PC and the correct driver.
Your screen images may vary slightly from those presented here.
Boot up the PC.
Log in.
Plug in a phone cable, one end into the modem on the PC, the other end in the wall jack.
Click on Start: Programs: Accessories: Communications: Network and Dialup Connections.

Double click on Make New Connection.
Click Next.
Choose Dial Up To Private Network.
Click Next.
Make sure that the correct modem is checked, and that Infrared Modem Port (if present) is NOT checked.
Click Next

Enter the UTH OAC dialup phone number: 713-313-9887
Be sure that Use Dialing Rules is NOT checked unless you are an advanced user and want to use this feature.
Click Next.

Give the connection an appropriate name, and check to make a shortcut on the desktop.
Click Finish.

Enter the userID and password provided to you in the account setup email from OAC.
If you are the only user on the PC you may check to Save Password.

The configuration is complete. Click Dial to connect for the first time.
Your connection may fail for many reasons, including:
Modem drivers not installed correctly.
Modem not plugged into the phone line.
A busy signal if all OAC modems are in use.
