Autopsy Conference: Most weeks, residents present their autopsy cases in the Hermann morgue. Once a month, the autopsy conference is replaced by the clinico-pathologic conference, during which the medicine resident presents the hospital course of a patient, and the pathology resident presents the autopsy findings.

Resident CP Conference: Each resident presents at the Monday 8 am CP conference once every 6 months on a CP topic of his/her choice.

CP Case Review Conference:
The CP residents get together twice a week at 3 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays to discuss interesting cases. The residents at LBJ teleconference for the Wednesday 3 pm conference.

CP Journal Club: The Wednesday CP case review conference is followed by the discussion of a recently published journal article. The residents on the various CP rotations take turns in presenting journal articles.

Hermann Med Path: This conference is a joint medicine and pathology conference which focuses on 4 interesting cases from the past month. The cases are discussed by the residents from both specialties.

LBJ Med Path Conference: This is a joint medicine and pathology conference at the end of every month at LBJ. The most interesting cases from the past month are discussed by the residents from both services.

Thursday 4 pm Conferences
: These are informal unknown slide conferences mostly given by the residents. A typical month will have one dermpath and one cytology conference. The other two Thursday conferences may be on a variety of cases or may focus on one particular organ system.

Tumor Board: Every Tuesday at 5pm, pathology, radiology and oncology departments discuss difficult tumor cases. The pathology part is typically done by a senior pathology resident.

Case of the Month: These conferences are given at grand rounds, typically by the more senior residents.

Pediatric M&M: Given to the pediatrics staff once a month, this conference is focused on interesting pediatric pathology cases from the past month. Residents present their own cases.

ENT Conference: Once a month a senior pathology resident meets with the ENT service to discuss a couple of their interesting cases.

Urology Conference: The senior residents give a series of talks to the urology residents about urologic pathology.
