Assistant Scientist Biology

Working in our multidisciplinary teams, you'll perform bacteriological

research that supports projects to develop new and highly effective vaccines

for animals. This will involve using contemporary molecular and bacterial

methods to elucidate the optimal vaccine construction and applying your

problem solving and leadership skills to overcome obstacles in the discovery

process. We require an MS in microbiology/biological science and relevant

research; 2+ years experience in pathogenesis or vaccinology is desired.

Also desired are a solid background in biology (bacterial molecular biology

preferred), good communication and leadership skills, and familiarity with a

broad range of skills in bacteriology, bacterial genetics and prokaryotic

molecular biology, including strain construction, bacterial propagation,

cloning, transformation, plasmid biology, sequencing methods, PCR, etc.
